Visser winner of the WSK Master KF2
After Siena and Val Vibrata, the WSK Master Series final round came to Castelletto, a circuit where Beitske Visser has shown her incredible speed. « I set the third best time in timed qualifying, but the race was still very open, since the first five drivers were all in less than 8/100ths of a second! »
During the heats, she quickly confirmed by finishing second three times. « In the first heat, it took the chassis a few laps to gain full effectiveness, so I could get closer to the leader only at race’s end, without even a chance to pass him. In the following two heats, I lost a few places at the start, but then I finished each time in second place, with the two best lap times« .
She started the pre-final fully confident at the wheel of her Intrepid-TM. « I felt really well and knowing that I still had a small chance to win the WSK motivated me even more. » Beitske finally triumphed despite his opponent’s pressure at the end of the race.
More focussed than ever in the final, Beitske finished a fantastic clean race, this time over two seconds ahead. She arrived in Castelletto with a minus 55 point gap from Zanchetta, but managed to turn the situation to her favour in the Championship. At just 15 Beitske was crowned winner of the first edition of the WSK Master Series. It’s an extraordinary exploit !
