Raucci in pole position at Sarno in KFJ
Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex) took control in the first group of KF-Junior ahead of Dan Ticktum (Zanardi / Parilla) who was isolated, then Juan Correa (Energy / TM) and Max Fewtrell (FA Kart / Vortex ) took the lead, Devlin DeFrancesco (Tony Kart / Vortex) moved up to second position, and Enaam Ahmed (FA Kart / Vortex) put his nose in to 3rd place. Fewtrell led with 2 » until the end, and Giuliano Raucci (Energy / TM) joined the top five. DeFrancesco accelerated and took 1st but Raucci was ahead a few seconds later and continued to lead the way with a lap of 1’08 » 166, only 5/100 faster than DeFrancesco. Ticktum finished 3rd, Ahmed 4th and Fewtrell 5th.
Nothing important happened in the second group until Eliseo Martinez (LH / TM) took the lead about 3 » from the end. Kush Maini (Tony Kart / TM), Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) and Alex (DR / TM) were vying for second position, Felipe Drugovich (Tony Kart / TM) followed them closely thereafter, but Ye Yifei (ART GP / TM) improved on Martinez’s time. Mick Junior (Tony Kart / Vortex) was back in the top four. Sun Yue Yang (FA Kart / Vortex) gave everything on the last lap, but Sargeant and Benjamin Lessennes (Kosmic / Parilla) responded before Yifei eventually took the lead in the group with 1’08 » 494, 43 thousandths from Sargeant, 74 thousandths from Lessennes and 82 thousandths from Yue Yang.
The difference of 0.328 » between the two groups put Yifei in 12th place overall, while Raucci ensured pole position ahead of DeFrancesco and Ticktum.
