KZ2: Tony Kart take two wins in heats 3 and 4
Heat 3, A against C
Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Paolo De Conto (Birel / TM) were courteous to Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter) at the start. Rick Dreezen (Zanardi / Parilla) was 4th ahead of Jordon Lennox-Lamb (CRG / Maxter), Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter) and Jonathan Thonon (Praga / Parilla) who had made a good start. It must be said that the first lap was quieter than the previous heat. De Conto took the lead on lap 3 ahead of Camponeschi, Dale and Dreezen who were all close. Camponeschi responded two laps later. Mirko Torsellini (ART GP / Parilla) was back in 11th with the fastest time of the day. Dreezen attacked Dale and took 3rd on lap 6. In 5th position Lennox was relegated by 3.5 » from the lead of the race, closely followed by Tiene and Thonon. Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla) finally regained some places. Victory and fastest lap went to Camponeschi, De Conto second, Dreezen third, Dale 4th, Lennox-Lamb 5th. Torsellini finished 8th with a gain of six places.
Heat 4, B against D
There was a perfect start for Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex), Arnaud Kozlinski (Intrepid / TM) fought against Jérémy Iglesias (Lenzo / LKE) to quickly take 2nd place and Riccardo Negro (Top Kart / TM) was fourth ahead of Ben Hanley ( ART GP / TM) and Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla), but both drivers passed him on lap 3. Fastest lap and 3rd position for Hanley on lap 5 with the top three closing up. Hanley tried to surprise Kozlinski, but he resisted and maintained second position until the checkered flag that greeted Ardigo’s victory – with the fastest lap – then Iglesias finished 4th, Hajek 5th and Negro 6th. Davide Fore (CRG / TM) had moved up to ninth ahead of Douglas Lundberg (Alpha Karting / TM). The race had 8 dropouts, most due to mechanical problems.
