First qualifying at Sarno, Verstappen quickest in KF3
The weather is looking good in the Naples area, with spring temperatures. The forecasts are less optimistic for Sunday, the day of the finals.
Max Verstappen (CRG / Maxter) was the fastest KF3 on the Sarno international circuit on Friday, March 11, for the first round of the WSK Series Euro 2011, followed closely by Callan O’Keeffe (FA Kart / Vortex) at Team RFM. Then there were three drivers who had already been noticed early in the season, the Swede Robin Hansson (Energy / TM), the Danish Lasse Sorensen (Birle / BMB) and Slavko Ivanovic (Tony Kart / Vortex).
Simon Tirman (Tony Kart / Vortex) was the first French driver in 7th position, just ahead of Esteban Ocon (FA Kart / Vortex). In the French clan, the next was Benjamin Gerard (Tony Kart / Vortex) 18th, Dorian Boccolacci (Birel / BMB) 20th and Florian Latorre (Sodi / Parilla) 29th, Erwan Julé (Intrepid / TM) 50th, Kenny Marques (FA Kart / Vortex) 60th, Valentin Naud (Tony Kart / Vortex) 63rd, Hubert Petit (Sodi / Parilla) 66th, Valentin Moineault (Sodi / Parilla) 67th, Pierre Louis Loubet (Sodi / Parilla) 81st, while Charles Leclerc (Sodi / Parilla) was last after a mechanical failure. 98 drivers are taking part.
