Defourny: On the Path to Success

On a driver’s long path towards becoming a fully-fledged champion there are major turning points that mark a career. Max Defourny’s achievements at the beginning of 2013 are definitely some of them. In competitions, his mental strength is now as high as his speed, and he has largely confirmed at the Winter Cup the hopes placed in him at the first round held at La Conca.

In addition to being pole winner in his group and setting the sixth absolute time in timed qualifying out of nearly 90 KF Junior entrants, Max won a qualifying heat, set the fastest lap time in the race and also entered the top 5, before consolidating his position with a third place in the pre-final. Unfortunately luck was no longer on his side during the final, when an electrical problem pushed him down the order and then forced him to stop.

Now the short-term goals of this young driver on his way to a well-deserved recognition can legitimately include podiums and victories.
