Victory for Lorandi in the KFJ final at Sarno

The scene was set in the KFJ final with Robert Shwartzmann leading Leonardo Pulcini and Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart / Parilla). Lando Norris passed David Beckmann to gain 4th position and Pulcini captured the lead. The unfortunate Gabriel Aubry (Birel / TM) dropped to the back of the pack on the first lap. We had not heard the last of Parker Thompson (Energy / TM) in 5th place. Lorandi attacked Shwartzmann who was third and then fourth when Norris passed at the halfway point. The top four were tightly bunched, Thompson following by 1 second. On lap 8, Lorandi took control with Norris in second place, 5-tenths off the new leader. But Shwartzmann reacted and took second place, while Thompson was fourth for a while before Pulcini regained the position .. Lorandi won the race ahead of Shwartzmann, Norris, Pulcini and Thompson.
