Becq on pole in the Academy in Varennes

Although still present, the fog was not really a problem during the official time trials for the Academy Trophy at Varennes. There were rather large gaps between the participants. The battle at the sharp end saw the Italian Edoardo Tolfo and the French Gautier Becq with the Turkish Berklay Besler close. Pole position finally went to Becq with a time of 58 » 665 », 0.176s faster than Tolfo while Besler finished 3rd by over 3/10, and the Spaniard Arturo Melgar fourth. The Brazilian Pedro Piquet ranked ninth by 6/10, followed by Adeline Prudent, the Belgian Maxime Potty was 14th by 8/10 after being very embarrassed by an opponent.
