H1: Ardigo wins, Camponeschi penalised

Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) was the fastest and the first to cross the finish line of the first KZ heat at Genk, but he then received a 5-second penalty for jumping the start, which pushed him back to 9th place. Victory went to Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex), the two teammates having largely outpaced the competition on the first lap. Jorrit Pex (Intrepid / TM) went up to 2nd place ahead of Jérémy Iglesias (Sodi / TM), Patrik Hajek (Formula K / Parilla) and Jordon Lennox-Lamb (BirelART / Parilla). Simo Puhakka (CRG / Maxter) was less convincing, Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM) gained 11 places to 7th place ahead of Arnaud Kozlinski (Sodi / TM).
