Pole position for Kas Haverkort in OK-Junior at Sarno

The weather weather was good at Sarno for the Qualifying runs of the OK-Junior European Championship, 13°C, sunny and a slight breeze. The first session started after the KZ warm-up, Vega after Bridgestone. The times improved of course until the last lap with significant differences and Gabriel Bortoletto (CRG / Parilla) imposed himself with a time of 59 »178 set on his penultimate lap thanks to perfectly managed slipstreaming. Luca Bosco (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 3rd, by 0.453 », Chris Lulham (Tony Kart / Parilla) was 4th and Jules Mettetal (Kosmic / Parilla) in 5th position on his last lap. Evann Mallet (Exprit / Vortex) set the 8th time, ahead of Mattia Michelotto (Zanardi / Parilla) and Xavier Handsaeme (Kosmic / Parilla), with Gillian Henrion (CRG / Parilla) 12th, and Elie Goldstein (Kosmic / Parilla) 16th.

The second session was slower fast than the first, contrary to what one could imagine, but the differences were much tighter. Zane Maloney (FA Kart / Vortex) scored the fastest lap with 59 »317 ahead of Andrea Rosso (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Leonardo Marseglia (Zanardi / Parilla), all three in the same tenth. O’Neill Muth (Zanardi / Parilla) was 4th in front of Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex). 12th time by 0.277 » for Loris Cabirou (Sodi / TM) and 18th by 0.497  » for Hadrien David (Zanardi / Parilla).

Kas Haverkort (CRG / Parilla) beat Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart / Vortex) for pole in the third session with a final lap of 59 »159, Zak O’Sullivan (FA Kart / Vortex) finished 3rd by 0.140 » ahead of Roman Stanek (Kosmic / Vortex) and Viktor Gustafsson (Tony Kart / Vortex). Giuseppe Fusco (Evokart / Parilla) finished 6th by 0.334 », with Jack Doohan (FA Kart / Vortex) 11th.

In the overall standings, Haverkort is the poleman, Bortoleto 2nd, Coluccio 3rd, O’Sullivan 4th, Maloney 5th, Edgar 6th, Stanek 7th, Rosso 8th. The top French driver, Cabirou found himself in a beautiful 24th position in front of Bosco, with Lulham 28th, Mettetal 30th, Mallet 38th, Michelotto 43rd, David 46th, Henrion 48th, and Goldstein 56th.
